I’ve been trying hard to manifest only really good things in my life lately. Two years ago, I made a vision board which hangs in my office and on it you will find all the things I want plus inspiring words. A few things have actually transpired- I have a literary agent, I took a wonderful trip to New York City, and I am regularly taking yoga classes. However, now its time to step up my game!
Recently a friend recommended a book published first in 1937 by Napoleon Hill called Think and Grow Rich which you can easily download as a PDF file right off your computer. Hill’s valuable quotes include this gem: “What the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve.”
This book encourages the reader to apply their passion to their dream and to follow it through. Hill was initially hired by steel magnate Andrew Carnegie to write about the philosophy of achievement. What do successful people have in common? What drives them? Hill interviewed extremely successful people such as Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, Alexander Graham Bell, John D. Rockefeller, George Eastman, William Wrigley Jr. and Charles M. Schwab to find out. What he discovered is written within the pages of Think and Grow Rich. The principles of this book are probably as old as time but its a valuable read to help get you in the mindset of positive thinking. Have a goal in mind as you pursue your passion. Which leads me to the next book…

…Your Heart’s Desire by Sonia Choquette. Sonia is someone I would LOVE to meet. She’s a psychic, spiritual leader, and also so very wise. Again, the principles are the same, positive thinking, following your passion and not giving up. Set aside time in your day to really focus and draw attention to what it is you want!
Sonia writes about following these nine steps to get what you truly want: (1) Bring the dream into focus, (2) Gain support of the subconscious mind, (3) Imagine the heart’s desire, (4) Eliminate obstacles, (5) Receive Intuitive Guidance, (6) Support the dream with love, (7) Surrender control, (8) Claim the dream, and (9) Stay true to the dream.
This is a workbook you can write in, but I decided to read it once for the information, then go back and actually do the workbook.

The last book I’ve read is Excuse Me, Your Life Is Waiting by Lynn Grabhorn. She is not a scholar like Napoleon Hill or a spiritual leader like Sonia, but she is a student of vibration and the Law of Attraction. In this book, Lynn details how your vibrations attract or repel what you want. For example, if you are focused on how you never have any money, you are essential telling the universe ” I don’t have money!” so the universe obeys and continues to provide you with a lack of money. Like attracts like. If you say, “I have an abundance of money!” and you feel it, and you focus on it, in time the universe will attract the money to you. Its the law of physics.
Lynn’s book is the Law of Attraction at work; what you put into the universe, you get out of it. If you are a negative thinker, you will continually receive negative circumstances or people in your life. I have to work very very hard not to let my negative emotions take over. I never really gave much thought to giving out vibrations and attracting negativity but after this book its something I will definitely pay attention to. Any time I think about something negative or a lack in my life, I immediately turn my thoughts around and try to refocus on something positive. And when all else fails, I try to think about a trip to Paris, my ultimate travel destination! Turn your negative thoughts into positive ones.
There is so much more to these books than what I have written about here and if you want to change your life or circumstances, I suggest any of them! I am also paging through the book The Law of Attraction by Esther and Jerry Hicks. The premise in these books is so simple- if you think it, feel it, want it and focus on it, anything you want can be yours!
I will let you know when I have manifested the major book deal, new car, and trip to Paris!
